My parents home has been for sale for three years.  Letting the home sit vacant through the cold winter months was hard on it.  Renting the house was an option but I did not live in the area. to manage the property. I found Chase Erickson of Northwoods Property Management to help me get the job done. He has taken care of the details that I am not able to do.  Having the rent money allows me to defray the cost of taxes and make improvements to the home.  A good solution for sellers in a tough market.

 For people from another state (Kansas), finding Melanie and Northwoods Property Management was a God-send. It is very difficult to be 900 miles away and look at property. Having visited Iron County and meeting Melanie allowed us to explain what we were interested in and what our expections were. She took over from there. Most days there are emails which explain the latest available sites and/or changes in previously seen properties. In December, we decided that we were having too much trouble trying to make up our minds and driving 900 miles every few weeks to view something that might fit out interest. So we turned to the option of renting while we continue our search. We found an interesting property and Melanie gathered all the needed information. Here we are in a nice home with a one-year lease in a good location. It is good enough for us to consider renewing or extending the lease. Things were handled efficiently, emails exchanged and the property ready for us to move in when we arrived. I highly recommend both Melanie and Northwoods Property Management!

Over the past year, we have acquired a number of properties and rather than managing them ourselves, we entered into an agreement with Northwoods Property Management to manage them.
